Welcome to The Good Writer website which I have created as a useful resource for all writers, particularly those interested in pursuing self publishing.
As a linguist, I have a love of language and can get quite excited about aspects of grammar and punctuation!
As a writer and indie author I’d like to share my own thoughts and experiences on the writing and publishing process.
Go to the blog to see my latest posts.
Go to the index for a quick and easy guide to the topics covered.
What you’ll find on this site:
In Grammar Tips I will delve into the intricacies of the wonderful English language and look at those things that seem designed to trip us up. For example, what is the difference between the verbs “to lie” and “to lay”? Where should apostrophes really go? What is the subjunctive in English?
In the posts on Self Publishing I will aim to explain the process of getting your words out into the world, simply and clearly. These posts will be primarily aimed at those just starting out on their self publishing journeys.
In the posts on Writing Craft I will look at technical and creative aspects of writing fiction.
I hope you find this site useful and interesting. If you do, then please share it with your friends.
